Oh yes! One of the best of the very few true farmers markets in Australia - I’ve planned my travel around it too .
What’s the market situation in Launceston?
Must say I’m not a purist regarding mixed markets, just keen on clarity . There’s many parts of oz where a true farmers or good practice market is just not possible. I’m lucky to be spoiled for choice where i live for all sorts of options to avoid the supermarkets.
Thanks for the recipe. I have hemp flour in the pantry .
It really is one of the best. The Harvest Market, held each Saturday in Launceston, is also a good, genuine Farmers Market. Completely different vibe from Farmgate, it's interesting how they all have their own personalities, but well worth a visit.
You're so right in that there are many places where this model isn't possible. Very few places have access to such a mixed range of produce within reasonable driving distance, that make a market possible.
I hope you try the recipe, just make sure you use hemp seeds/hearts rather than hemp flour, you'll end up with quite a different result with hemp flour - although they might be good also!
These are a great idea I’m definitely trying them!
I hope you enjoy them.

Loved hearing about your market stall, Julia, and very interesting about all of the uses of hemp. If I ever get to Hobart, I’m going to your market!
One day, Jolene!
