Oh yum, that recipe sounds and looks divine!!! I wonder if there are any vertical strawberry farms and if they look and feel as wonderfully agricultural as a more traditional farm, rather than industrial and slightly unnatural?
As far as I know there aren't any vertical farms here, or hydroponic ones. Our strawberry growing is fairly small scale. The cake is a good one and really versatile - the fruit portion is very interchangeable.

It’s a lovely combination, the pepper seems to offset the sweetness of the strawberries.
So regular ground black pepper will do?
